For the Kevin Cookie Company, a renowned manufacturer of cookies and pastries with branches in multiple countries, conducting a comprehensive Sales Performance Analysis became imperative. This report aims to provide an overview of the company’s sales performance, analyzing key metrics such as profits, product-wise sales, and top-performing regions and dates.

1. INTRODUCTION
Kevin Cookie Company is a manufacturing company that produces cookies and pastries with branches in Mexico, the United States, Canada, France , and Germany. This report aims to provide an overview of the Sales Performance of Kevin Cookie Company. This report includes information about profits; profit by region, product-wise sales, and top performance by dates. I analyzed the data and conducted a Sales Performance Analysis.
2. METHODOLOGY
To conduct the Sales Performance Analysis, I utilized a dataset downloaded from Kaggle, which included essential information about the company’s sales and profits. I leveraged Power BI to transform the data and import additional datasets related to countries and population from external sources. Merging the datasets enabled comprehensive data modeling, facilitating accurate measurements for analysis. Finally, data visualization using Power BI allowed me to present the findings in an interactive dashboard format, providing valuable insights for decision-makers.
3. INSIGHTS:
Insights: The interactive dashboard provided a wealth of insights, including:
A. Overall Sales Profit: The Kevin Cookie Company achieved a total sales profit of $2,760,000 between September 2018 and November 2019. Notably, the highest profit was recorded in October 2019 at $255,211, while the lowest occurred in September 2018 at $124,812. This analysis enables the company to understand its profitability trends over time, facilitating strategic decision-making for further growth.
B. Variation of Product by Countries: The dataset revealed that Chocolate Chips emerged as the highest-selling product in terms of profits and units sold across different countries. Interestingly, the data showed that country population had no significant impact on the number of units sold. Canada, with $606,317 in profits and 247,427 units sold, demonstrated the highest performance, while Germany achieved $493,001 in profits and 201,494 units sold. Understanding these variations can guide the company in allocating resources effectively and tailoring marketing efforts to capitalize on successful products in specific regions.
C. Percentage of Company’s Products by Units Sold: Analyzing the percentage of units sold for each product, I identified that Kevin Cookie Company’s Chocolate Chip product led the sales with 30.04% of the total units sold. On the other hand, Fortune Cookie represented the lowest product sales, accounting for 13.7% of the units sold. These insights enable the company to focus on high-performing products and devise strategies to boost the sales of underperforming ones.
4. Conclusion
The Sales Performance Analysis report showcases Kevin Cookie Company’s successful year with valuable insights into its key revenue drivers. The company’s Chocolate Cookie product and sales in Canada emerged as significant contributors to its success. Moving forward, the company should continue prioritizing the production and marketing of Chocolate Cookie to sustain growth and prosperity.
